In Memory of Bob Woolmer

On 18 March 2007, Woolmer died suddenly in Jamaica, just a few hours after the Pakistan team’s unexpected elimination at the hands of Ireland in the 2007 Cricket World Cup.  Shortly afterwards, Jamaican police announced that they were opening a murder investigation into Woolmer’s death. However, three months later they announced that Woolmer had died of natural causes.

I now wonder if, given the culpability of at least 5 of the Pakistan Cricket Team in deliberate match fixing allegations (which, in light of the predicted No Ball Deliveries for exact timeliness seems to be all but proven), Bob Woolmer’s untimely death was now worth a revisit by the authorities as it looks to me like the Pakistan Cricket Team may well have thrown the Jamaica vs. Pakistan match and, perhaps, Woolmer was killed to silence him from bring that 2007 cricket match fixing to spotlight of public scrutiny.
